Thermal Testing Services

TA Instruments, the leading manufacturer of thermophysical properties testing instruments, has for over a decade maintained a well-equipped demonstration and testing laboratory for thermophysical research. This laboratory is also available to perform tests for customers on a contract or simple fee basis through our
TA Professional Services Division.

CAPABILITIES
Our Thermophysical Testing Laboratory is equipped with a permanent complement of instruments including flash diffusivity (-180° to 2800°C), thermal conductivity and dilatometry/expansion. New devices, when they become available as new products, are also added to the auxiliary group.

The results of all contract testing are supplied in a formal written report. Due to the large testing capacity, many tests can be turned around in one to two weeks. Turnaround times of less than a week are available at a 50% premium charge. In addition to testing, sample preparation (machining, etc.) is also available.

CONTRACT TEST POLICY
TA Instruments will accept specimens from customers for the purpose of testing according to a prescribed schedule. These samples must be safe to heat, non-corrosive, nontoxic, non-contaminating, and in general, known to pose no danger to personnel or to the instrument in which they are to be tested. Certain samples not meeting these requirements may be acceptable and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. To ensure the above, the customer is required to submit our completed Testing Instructions Form along with all required MSDS sheets with the test samples.
